( Birth story, for those who wanna know )

The due date is 9/9/08, but my midwives are talking like it'll happen this week. Ellen is arriving in about a half hour from Florida to be here for the homebirth, joining me, Charles, our two midwives, and our doula, Tina. Crazy! Exciting! Still can't believe it!

Sleeping has become difficult; hips have become far more important than ever (they hurt constantly!), and stretch marks are now called "badges of honor" - I am well decorated. :P

Could be that our baby boy, Oisin, will have his pics on Livejournal in just a few days - could be two weeks. Either way... we're ready for the little tyke.

I miss all you guys! We finally made our move to Pennsylvania, settling in very well in our new cute apartment. Charles has started teaching his classes, and I've been trying to read as much fiction as possible before the little one gets here. We got internet about two weeks ago, but our computer is in the attic office, and it is HOT up here, so I haven't been online as much as I used to be. I haven't even read any livejournal entries in months and months. For me, being pregnant has truly been a full-time job. I've gained about 50 pounds, maybe even more, but me and baby continue to be very healthy. And he's a big one! Midwives say he's definitely 8+ pounds already. Which I think is awesome. I was 9lbs and 14oz when I was born; Charles was barely 6 pounds.

If anybody wants to visit us in PA, you're super welcome to do it. I miss people! And in my condition, it hasn't been easy to go out and make new friends. Hehe.

Three months to go, my friends. A little peek at how big I am. My cousin Jesse is due two weeks after I'm due. See how huge I am? In fact, I'm about the same size as women I've seen who are due in July.

I've gained only 30 pounds so far, and feel pretty good, though I think my prenatal vits give me headaches. Also uploaded two pics of me and handsome husband Charles on my flickr account.

Hey, gang! I haven't finished yet, but I have 50 photos of 175 already up. Because my family is mostly Picasa-inclined, that's where I have them right now. I'll put them up on Flickr when all are done and I have the strength to do more captions. :-) To see them on Picasa, go here and enjoy.

I loved my wedding. I'm so happy so many people were able to make it. And I'm slowly working my way through thank you cards, etc. Charles had two interviews the Monday and Tuesday after the wedding, and we found out a week or two ago that he'll be a full time professor of philosophy - finally! No more adjuncting for this genius! So we'll be moving our married, pregnant butts to Harrisburg, PA in the summer.

Just when we thought we could put our legs up, sit back, and focus on baby - we gotta move. Aye! But we're happy as can be.

I'm 21 weeks along. Healthy (20 pounds healthier to be exact), and super excited. I'll write more later. Promise!

Yup, you could be preggars! See a doctor to confirm, okay?

And yes, I am.

10.5 weeks, my friends. And let me tell you: being preggers is far more romantic in the movies. I have felt like ass since Christmas, and though there is that myth out there that you should wait till the first trimester is over to share your news, I never really could keep a secret. So some of you already know. Now all of you do.

And hey, I deserve a freakin' medal for keeping it secret for over a month!!
